Support groups for parents
PARENTS OF ANXIOUS KIDS SUPPORT GROUP: This online Zoom meeting is open to parents of school aged kids or younger who experience anxiety and obsessive compulsive (OC) related disorders – these sessions are held every Tuesday starting at 8:30pm EST, connect at https://zoom.us/j/869740698.
This Tuesday’s meeting will include special guest Dr. Dawn Huebner who is a child anxiety/obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) expert. She is the author of the award-winning book What To Do When You Worry Too Much as well as multiple other What To Do Guides For Kids.
➢ OCD SUPPORT GROUP: This online Zoom meeting is open to both OCD sufferers and their family members – these sessions are held every Thursday at 8:30pm EST, connect at https://zoom.us/j/673409624.
➢ MOMS WORKING FROM HOME WITH KIDS AND SOCIAL DISTANCING: This online Zoom meeting is open to any moms out there trying to survive in this new, temporary reality. This group is not anxiety or OCD focused – this session is held every Monday at 8:30pm EST, connect at https://zoom.us/j/532367948. (Dads group is in the process of being created).
➢ SOCIAL DISTANCING SOCIAL HOUR: This online Zoom meeting is a way for people to connect and chat. This is not an anxiety or OCD focused group – this session is held every Friday at 8:30pm EST, connect at https://zoom.us/j/650113723.

Please remember that the Welfare Office is here to partner with you to ensure that the basic needs of Manchester’s youth are being met. Should you become aware that a family is unable to meet their needs, and especially if a family’s housing situation becomes dire; please feel free to contact me to discuss their situation. Please also note that our physical office is closed to in person interviews until further notice. However, a member of our staff is always available Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00 by phone- 624-6484. Applicants can apply on-line, at www.manchesternh.gov/welfare or mail in an application. We are conducting interviews over the phone. This will make the application process easier for many families.
